I promised some people that I would let them know what is going on - and feel the rest of you should know.

Let me just start by saying, I’m not going to sugar coat things in this statement. I’m going to be completely honest.

I’m going to say it how it is and that’s why I haven’t posted this as “Black Polaris.” What I do know is most if not all of what I say here Gaz, Luke and Paul will agree with.

I know the EP was meant to be out digitally today, we’ve now pushed this back simply because we haven’t had time to even promote it with this drummer situation.

For everyone that wants to know Andrew left very suddenly, he has always been a hard guy to talk to but we were so disappointed and upset on so many levels. Although he’d been hard to talk to, we would’ve thought after being with us in Black Polaris for 2 and a bit years he would’ve mentioned his worries about the band in person.

Unfortunately Andrew left very suddenly in a Facebook message to us all offering to fill in for two of the many gigs we have booked for this part of 2012.

There seems to be a lot of talk flying around surrounding this, so I just want to clear things up right now; we do not dislike Andrew, we do not hold any grudges, there is no adversity our side - we are just so disappointed that we have these shows to play and we’re having to use backing tracks and fill in drummers. If you would like me, or any of the band members to elaborate on this please do give us a message! Originally we always said in this current line-up that if a member left we would most likely end things as a band, but after a long discussion we decided not to. This was because we want to carry on, and also we don’t want to let you guys down – the people that have started listening to this band over the last year is completely crazy and we can honestly say we love each and every one of you for your support, seriously. It means so much to us knowing other people enjoy the music we love writing together.

Andrew’s last show with us will be this Thursday at The Square in Harlow, please do wish him well.

The EP will now be out digitally on the 28^th May, we don’t want to release something we haven’t properly discussed and promoted because we feel it would be unfair on you all and we really hope you understand. Daniel Kerr at Avenue Studios has done an amazing job with this EP and we want to do the same. I personally want to thank him for helping hold us together through this hard time regarding the situation with Andrew. We have two tracks on our BandPage and Youtube “Mountains” and “Envisage” and we’re amazed at the response we have had surrounding these so far.

However, our “Bronson” T-Shirt, is now on sale! We know some of you have looked forward to this for a while and so have we! After working with a merchandise company on these, they have really done the design a lot of justice after various tweaks. Pick one up from our bigcartel or at a show.

No shows are cancelled – and there’s no need to worry. No shows are going to be cancelled either.

Please do not worry about this situation, we have all decided there’s no time to be upset and dwell on the past and “what if” any longer – we have some drummers that would like to try out and we have shows coming up, brand new merchandise out and an EP to release. This situation has ended up bringing us closer instead of tearing us apart, and I don’t think we could have done it if we didn’t think about things with a clear open head and have people like Elliott Brown and Daniel Kerr helping keep it all together (I know you guys probably don’t think you have done much, but you really did help tenfold). I’d also like to thank everyone that supported us at Lewisham and Dead Hearts, Animus Sadist and Weather the Storm – you guys helped us feel so much better about everything! Finally, last but not least everyone who has supported us over Facebook and in person regarding this, all the people sharing the new music and listening to it old and new – I can’t thank you enough.
